Privacy Policy

How we handle the information you share with us. Last updated August 2026.

1. Who we are

Fresh Crop Export Veggies ("Fresh Crop", "we", "us") is an agricultural producer and exporter headquartered in Alvarado, Cartago, Costa Rica, with a commercial office in Davie, Florida, United States. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal information gathered through this website and our commercial relationships.

Questions about this policy can be sent to info@freshcropcr.com.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us: name, company, role, email address, phone number, country, product interest, volumes, delivery destination and any other detail you include in a quote request, contact form or email.

Information collected automatically: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring page and approximate location, gathered through server logs and, where enabled, analytics cookies.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (health, biometric, political or religious information) and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

3. How we use your information

To respond to quote requests, prepare offers and manage commercial and logistics communications.

To fulfil, invoice and document orders, including export and food-safety traceability records required by law and by our certifications.

To improve the website, measure performance and protect the site against fraud or abuse.

To send commercial updates when you have requested them. You may unsubscribe at any time.

4. Legal basis

We process personal data on the basis of your consent, the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps you request, our legitimate interest in operating and securing our business, and compliance with legal obligations (customs, tax, food-safety and audit requirements).

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with parties that need it to deliver our service: freight forwarders, customs brokers, certification bodies and auditors, banks and payment processors, and IT providers such as hosting, email and analytics vendors, all bound by confidentiality obligations.

We may disclose information when required by a competent authority, court order or applicable law, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

6. International transfers

Because we operate between Costa Rica, the United States and export destinations, your data may be processed outside your country of residence. We take reasonable contractual and technical measures so that any transfer maintains a comparable level of protection.

7. Retention

We keep commercial correspondence for as long as the relationship is active and afterwards for the period required by tax, customs, food-safety and traceability rules. Data no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction or objection to processing, and withdrawal of consent. Write to us and we will respond within a reasonable time, and in any case within the period required by law.

9. Cookies

The site uses strictly necessary cookies to function and may use analytics cookies to understand traffic. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; some parts of the site may then work less well.

10. Security

We apply reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including access controls and encrypted connections. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our operations or in the law. The revised version takes effect when published on this page, with the update date shown above.
